How to Build a Rubbish Dinosaur
Everything you need to know, start to finish.
Four steps to your first dig.
Getting Started
Open the App
No download required. Open your browser and navigate to the web app URL provided with your ticket.
Create Account
Register quickly with your email. This saves your progress and allows the app to generate your dinosaur name and issue winner codes.
Buy Access
Purchase your exhibition ticket in the app, or enter the code from your Eventbrite booking to unlock the trail.
Start Digging!
Follow the interactive map to each of the 13 GPS dig locations. The adventure begins.
Follow the map. Find your locations.
On The Trail
Navigate to each of the 13 GPS dig locations marked on the interactive map. At each one, the app reveals what your digital shovel has unearthed — a perfect prehistoric bone, or a piece of modern rubbish. Follow the numbered locations in order and tap to add each find to your collection. Complete the trail in order and then head to Collections to see what dinosaur you have created!

Viewing the AR
When launching AR, aim your phone camera just in front of your feet. The 3D experience will take a few minutes to load — be patient, it's worth it!
When you see an opaque version of the 3D experience, aim your phone in front of your feet and slowly scan slightly more in front of you — but not too much. Keep scanning up and down, aiming at the floor, ensuring there is nothing in front of you but open space. And hey presto!
When you have finished viewing, tap the screen until you see the 'X' button and click it to carry on your trail. If you ever want to view your AR again, head back to the location and look for the VIEW NEARBY AR button.

The Grand Finale
The final FULL Dinosaur is your stitched-together collection! Be patient whilst it builds your dinosaur and loads — this is the FULL dinosaur, so it's massive!
Ensure when you load, aim camera in front of your feet and ensure a nice big space in front of you. ENJOY!
